POLICY REGARDING CANCELLATION OF CHAPTER RIDES DUE TO BAD WEATHER
We live in Miami. Contrary to what it says on our license plates ( “The Sunshine State” if you haven’t noticed! ) it’s rather likely to rain, especially in the summer months. With the likely chance that rain may interfere with our scheduled rides, please be advised of the chapter policy regarding cancellation of a ride.
While it is always a chapter member's option to go on a chapter ride when it is raining, a decision will be made by the Lead Road Captain whether the official HOG ride will take place. Riding in the rain is a safety issue we must always consider. The actual formal cancellation of a ride will occur at the time and place the ride begins. The Lead Road Captain running the ride and other HOG officers will be present at the designated time and location where the ride begins to advise those present of the decision. On any ride, if you are not comfortable using your motorcycle that day for any reason, you may always participate by taking your car - we know you own a Harley-Davidson motorcycle; we’ve see it !
Every month at a minimum, we have one breakfast ride, one lunch ride, social Wednesday night get-togethers, a Board of Directors meeting, and Saturday barbecue events at our sponsoring dealer, Peterson’s Harley-Davidson South.

Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. chapter members. There are three categories of activities, and activities will be identified as follows:

✴Closed events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members and one guest per member.

✴Member events are events that are open only to H.O.G. members

✴Open events are those chapter events which are open to chapter members, national H.O.G. members and other guests as desired.
